I had not planned on offering a digital cable, but the D4 interconnect cable turns out to work extremely well for this application, and the Mundorf/WTB RCAs are made to be compatible with the 75 Ohm S/PDIF standard for characteristic impedance. I have not measured the cable at the MHz frequencies used by S/PDIF and have not gauged it’s bandwidth at these frequencies either (yet), but this cable has been tested by enough people with great success that I am confident in it’s abilities to serve as an exceptional quality digital cable. The S/PDIF standard represents digital information using high frequency squarewave signals in the analog domain, which theoretically requires infinite bandwith, and a cable that maintains the integrity of the squarewave signals will sound better than one that does not. So a high quality analog cable shares many of the attributes necessary for a good digital cable and the D4 Digital is a great example. This cable is also available in balanced form, please contact me if you would like pricing.
